Jimar Garcia, President

Jimar Garcia is the President of the ICS Alumni Chapter at UCI. In this role, his charter is to create value for chapter members. Jimar graduated from UCI in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Information and Computer Science (ICS) and a minor in Management.

Jimar is currently the President and owner of HatchWork Solutions Inc., a professional services and solutions provider in the area of business process automation. In this role, he has led dozens of highly complex projects with enterprises in numerous industries, including banking, financial services, insurance, logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, and government. In these projects, his main goal is to improve the economic viability of his customers by helping them increase revenue, decrease and control costs, improve productivity of key resources, and improve compliance.

Jimar believes that education and economic opportunity are the keys to success and prosperity, and the basis of the American dream.

Vijay Kumar, Vice President

Vijay Kumar earned his Bachelor of Science from the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science (ICS).Then he earned his MBA from the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. In an effort to give back to the university, Alumni, and the surrounding community, Vijay decided to join the UCI ICS Alumni organization. Vijay’s primary motivation is to encourage and assist current students and alumni on how to use their Computer Science degree to help further their own careers and also how to assist businesses solve their technological initiatives. Vijay looks forward to growing the ICS Alumni chapter.

Kerri Fung, Treasurer

Kerri Fung graduated from the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science in 1988. After a career in IT in the finance industry, Kerri currently works at the non-profit Irvine Public Schools Foundation, striving to give tomorrow's leaders the best possible education.

UCI has provided Kerri with an excellent education that continues to serve her well in addition to lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and continuous learning opportunities. She enjoys doing what she can to pay forward some of what she has gained from the UCI community.


Jennifer Pascua, Mentorship

Jennifer Pascua graduated from UCI with a B.S. in Information Computer Science in 2003 and received her MBA from Pepperdine University in 2007. She is an international businesswoman with an extensive career in developing and managing In-flight Entertainment systems within the aerospace industry for over 17 years. She is currently Director of Program Management at Thales Inflyt and previously the Software Product Support Manager at Rockwell Collins. Prior to aerospace, she worked at Canon, UCI, Reynolds & Reynolds and had side projects for Merrill Lynch, Deloitte Consulting, and Syska Hennessy Group. She is also a co-founder of Project Potluck, a volunteer group helping at-risk children in Orange County for the past 9 years.

Outside of work, she is passionate with giving back to the community and a strong advocate for women's leadership and STEM through her involvement with Women's Unlimited Leadership, TechNovation, and UCI. She was recently inducted into UCI's ICS Hall of Fame in 2017 and was the commencement speaker for UCI's 1st Masters Program in Computer Science in 2018. Jennifer joined UCI's ICS Alumni Board as a way to "pay it forward" and help create a space where all alums can inspire, engage, and connect while helping within the local community.
